This site is designed for those interested in God and considering how at least some sheep of the Good Shepherd think about the infinite creator of the universe. One goal is to carry this out in somewhat organized fashion. The jotting down of these thoughts has already prompted significant “unmuddling” of the thinking of the principal author, it remains to be seen if these thoughts are of interest or use to others. Much of this content started out as personal journal entries. Beginning in late 2013 these concepts and thoughts underwent a process of refinement and formatting into a private WordPress blog. After some time the private status was removed and site access opened.
Topical postings are listed in reverse chronological order. A few points:
- There is a comprehensive listing of posts in the category section labeled “Z Index of All Posts,” it is also available from the top menu listed simply as Index.
- The first post provides a lengthy introduction to the blog (“Who I am and Why I’m Here“).
- First and foremost, Scripture is the benchmark and foundation for what is true and correct.
- The blog utilizes American English as the principal language and classical Aristotelian logic as the grammar of thought for the blog’s causeries.
- The mission of this blog is to bring glory to God.
- It is hoped that both the unity of the Spirit and soundness of doctrine will be promoted, appreciated and considered in postings and comments on this site.
- It is the intent of this site to provide opportunity for sharing knowledge about who God is, how He participates in the lives of believers, and implications for the pilgrim’s path and walk.
The Christian lives out this life on a journey. Heaven is filled with God’s glory, but it seems His plan is that eternity be populated with individuals with their own unique path through life. According to God’s word man is also designed for fellowship, both here and in heaven. Christians are members of a single flock of pilgrims, His church. But we are a diverse group. We share a common Lord, but each have our own set of experiences and unique constitutions.
Whatever one’s spiritual background, whether brief or lengthy, conventional or eccentric, the hope is that these thoughts are edifying and God glorifying. These concepts may register confirmation or alarm; harmony or discord; acceptance or caution; understanding or perplexity; or empathy as opposed to tolerance. Whatever the reception, it is hoped that God’s love and care, Christ’s love and care, and the love, care, and unity of the Holy Spirit are always communicated and present on these virtual pages.
