Blog Notes & Copyright Information

  1. This site deals with theological, Christian and spiritual issues. The primary focus is on God — not man. God’s nature is both infinite and unchanging so these issues may be of interest to anyone with spiritual or theological interest, irrespective of one’s relationship status with God.
  2. Blog navigation may be accomplished in a couple of ways. Conventional blog navigation by chronology and archiving is operative. Perhaps more convenient are use categories and tags, both of which are employed in posts and comments.
  3. For more information on what’s behind this blog see the blog’s first post: Who I am and Why I’m here
  4. This blog has been underway, initially only in private fashion, since late 2013. It is still very much a work in progress. Corrections and changes occur without notice. It may be wise to include a quote of the existing wording which is the subject of a comment.  Comment publication is, of course, at the discretion of the blogmaster.
  5. This site generally follows “conventional” link practice. Activation of links to posts or pages within the blog should not open a new browser tab or window. In this case, site link navigation may be accomplished through browser back and forward functions. Links to outside sources will typically open a new tab or window, depending on the reader’s browser settings. In this case the reader’s location in Sheepblog.org should remain open in at their original tab or window location.
  6. Files have been optimized for web use using JPEGmini Pro optimization software. The site and graphics are designed to work well on computers and tablets at “normal” connection speed. Viewing of some posts and pages with intricate graphics may be sub-par on some phones, phablets, or at slower connection speeds.
  7. See Comment Rules for information on comment requirements.
  8. A note on pronouns and capitalization:  The practice of capitalizing pronouns referring to God is generally applied. This convention is consistent with the New American Standard Bible (NASB), the bible version of choice for scripture references.  This is neither a rule of grammar nor regal mandate. Much of the content of this blog is dealing with God and His relationships with man. Capitalizing pronouns referring to God provides clarity regarding to whom the pronoun refers. There are cases this convention may not be followed. For example, in recitation of a prayer clearly directed to God, use of capitalized pronouns is redundant and generally omitted.  In cases where a translation other than the NASB is used, the pronouns are quoted as-is, and may be lower case. Likewise, quotes and text from other sources also may use other conventions regarding capitalization of pronouns dealing with God.
  9. A key objective of this blog is to promote thought. Some statements that appear provocative may be so. Some statements may be subject to different interpretations. Some statements may be true from only one of several perspectives. Some statements may be true only in specific contexts. The objective of this blog is not to identify and highlight the wrongness of man’s way of thinking, nor to create new errors.  The objective is to identify, discuss and highlight the rightness of God’s thinking.  Discussions of the context and perspective of men are secondary to  discerning pure and lasting thought about the one and only eternal God.
